Aussie women’s shoe store will sell men’s and women’s shoes for a discounted price after the government announced a new government funding scheme.
Key points: The sale will start on Thursday, April 8, 2018, and the government is investing $100 million into the project The government is buying up to 600 pairs of men’s shoes from online retailer, ShoeBuyer.com The retail store will start selling men’s shoe storage and men’s footwear for a lower price, but the sale will not be for long.
The department of public works is spending $100m to upgrade and modernise the entranceway of a Melbourne store.
Its opening date has not yet been set but it will open at 3am on Thursday morning, April 7.
It is one of three new government funded shops that the department will be installing in the state, which it says will save taxpayers $200 million over the next five years.
The department’s $100-million scheme is a mix of funding and advertising, and it has already made progress on the first phase of the project, which includes the renovation of the entrance, the installation of CCTV cameras and installing new signage.
But there are still some major hurdles to overcome before the government can make any money from the scheme, including the fact that some of the government’s money will come from the sale of beer and wine.
In 2016, the department of state governments announced that it was opening up $10m to buy 600 pairs each of men and women shoes.
This was a very expensive deal for the department because it would be spending $500 per pair of shoes, and its staff would need to buy at least four pairs of shoes to work full time.
But it has now been decided to pay off that debt and invest $100million into the new Shoebuyer.
Com.au understands that the company’s chief executive, Paul Giesbrecht, is also investing $50m to build a new entrance, which will include a CCTV camera system.
In addition, the government has put in a $15m loan to pay for the installation and renovation of two retail shops.
As part of the new government investment, the agency will pay Shoe Buyer.COM.AU $100,000 for the project.
There is no word yet on whether the government will also pay for other costs associated with the project including hiring a security guard and paying for a full-time security guard to patrol the store.
