A man who died inside a pink shoe palace in North Dakota has been identified by police as a man who was “known to be in the area.”
Officers responded to the Shoe Palace in the town of Klamath on Sunday evening, according to K-9 Unit Sgt. Steve Brown.
Brown said the man died of “multiple gunshot wounds.”
According to the K-7 Unit, the man was found inside a “small room” and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said they were able to determine the cause of death after speaking with the man’s girlfriend.
She told police that she and the man had been in an argument at the shoe palace that morning and the pair had gone to the hotel.
According to KSDK, the woman was “uncooperative” and the two had been arguing before she went to the shoe store and left the man in a room with a large bag of shoe polish.
Police believe the man may have been shot, and are searching for witnesses.
