The days of wearing a wedding shoe are numbered.
Fashion designer Fila Shoe Co. is starting to roll out a line of wedding shoes, which it says will be priced at $2,500.
The shoes, designed by Fila’s sister company, are modeled after the classic shoes worn by the Duchess of Cambridge and her husband Prince Harry during the wedding.
They’re made of a soft, flexible nylon mesh that can be washed in a variety of ways, including with an in-bath detergent and a deodorant.
“Fila Shoes’ shoes are designed with durability in mind,” Fila spokeswoman Lisa Cottrell said in a statement.
“We know that when it comes to comfort, comfort comes first and that comfort is what makes them a favorite of many.”
Fila is launching the shoes in Australia and New Zealand.
For those looking for something less flashy, the company says its shoes can be customized with a variety to suit your preferences, from leather to suede, or even a custom fit.
It’s a pretty small market for a designer, but the company is planning to expand the line in other countries, including the U.K. and Canada.
While the shoes are made to last, Cottrill said the company doesn’t plan to offer a replacement after a year.
